Cookie Policy – XTech Academy
This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies our website uses and how you can control them. You can change your choice at any time with the button on this page.
What are cookies and local storage?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. “Local storage” is a similar browser technology. Both can be used to remember settings – or to track visitors. Under German law (§ 25 TDDDG) and the GDPR, only technically necessary information may be stored without your consent. Everything else requires your prior consent.
What we use
1. Strictly necessary (always active)
Our website does not set its own tracking cookies. We only store the following in your browser’s local storage:
| Name | Purpose | Storage period |
|---|---|---|
| xta-consent-v2 | Saves your cookie choice so that the banner is not shown again | Until you delete it or change your choice |
| xta-last-send | Saves the time of your last form submission (spam protection) | Until you delete it |
2. Statistics (only with your consent)
If you agree to “Statistics”, we may use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) with IP anonymisation to understand how visitors use our website. Google Analytics is only loaded after your consent and is not loaded at all if you reject it. Google may transfer data to the USA. More information: https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.
3. Marketing
We currently do not use any marketing or advertising trackers (e.g. no Facebook Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag). If this changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
4. External content
- Map (OpenStreetMap): The map on our contact page is only loaded after you click on it. Only then is your IP address transmitted to OpenStreetMap.
- Forms: When you send a form, its content is transmitted to the form service FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which forwards it to us by email. No cookies are set for this purpose by our website.
- We do not embed YouTube or Vimeo videos, and we do not use social media plugins – links to LinkedIn are normal links.
Changing or withdrawing your consent
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with the “Change my cookie settings” button at the top of this page. You can also delete stored data in your browser settings:
Your rights
